Fostering Innovation

Students conducting research in the Innovation Lab

Our parent company, Solaidro™, is the engineering and development core of CleanFarm's cultivation products, automation experience, and efficiency management protocols. Our CleanFarm systems incorporate these evolving innovations to continually enhance performance and your experience. These innovations transcend to ongoing lab testing, data collection, optimization analysis, and implementation by CleanFarm. We share some of these research initiatives with educational STEM programs, which provide aspiring students the hands-on opportunity to advance their knowledge in the areas of cultivation science, systems design, and programming.

CleanFarm™ supports educational STEM programs by bringing real-world challenges to the classroom and by increasing the program's food production capabilities that benefit local communities.

Our foundational CleanFarm Innovation Lab at Half Hollow Hills in Long Island, NY incorporates a state-of-the-art research facility for students to engage in Controlled Environment Agriculture ("CEA"). In addition to its high-tech research capabilities, the Lab is outfitted with several production-sized hydroponic cultivation systems. Students currently harvest 250 heads of leafy greens every three weeks.

Over 2,000 heads of lettuce produced through the STEM program.

Educational Partnerships

CleanFarm is committed to food sustainability, security and accessibility by forging partnerships with educational institutions and communities. Our educational partnerships enrich STEM curriculums through hands-on learning and real-world outcomes.

Harvest Distribution and 2026 Farm to School

The Lab is partnered with Island Harvest, which distributes the Lab's harvests to the community for those struggling with food insecurity. 2026 will also see the inception of the school district's first Farm to School program, whereby our Lab's harvests will supply our own cafeterias.
